HARVARD STREET

334 Harvard Street is a 68-unit apartment building constructed in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1965. When the rental property was acquired in 2016 as part of a multifamily portfolio purchase, its new ownership commissioned Kripper Studio to reimagine the building’s common spaces as part of an overall rebranding and design vision. Amenity upgrades included the installation of a roof deck, as well as an innovative vegetated lobby wall that would appeal to contemporary market-rate residents. The lobby redesign is further notable for its mirrored surfaces and mounted light, which help to mitigate the 8-foot ceilings and cramped proportions of the 320 square-foot entry’s original midcentury design.
